| Nutrient Film Technique (NFT)
Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) means that a very thin film of water containing all the dissolved nutrients required for growth is circulated over the bare roots of crop plants in a watertight gully…Ideally, the depth of the recirculating stream should be very shallow, little more than a film of water – hence the name nutrient film. This ensures that the thick root mat, which develops in the bottom of the gully, has an upper surface which, although moist, is taking up oxygen from the air. Consequently, there is an abundant supply of oxygen to the roots of the plants.”
The system is suitable for wide range of plants like tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, herbs, strawberry , Bak Choy and many others .

| Flood & Drain
This is a very simple but very effective technique.. The principle, as per the description of the title, is simple, however, very effective. These systems normally use clay pebbles as the substrate, but other mediums also be used, clay medium provides very good drainage and good retention of water, which over a period of time will dry out. A flood and drain system typically works by using a timer and submersible pump. The timer controls the flooding via the pump. The timer controls the flood and drain cycle of the system. Most flood and drain systems work via a bottom flood, which over a period of preset time floods two thirds to three quarters of the growing medium. Then, once the flood cycle reaches the desired height, the pump stops and gravity then drains the water back to the reservoir. Then, depending on the size and depth of the system, some time later the cycle is repeated.

| Drip Fed Media Based Culture
Drip fertilization is a key factor in modern irrigated agriculture, where water and fertilizers are the most expensive inputs for this irrigation method. It is evident that the farmer is facing the problem of shortage of irrigation water. Drip fertilization ensures the required quantity, of fertilizer solution at the proper place, proper time, and at appropriate intervals . fertilization enhances the utilization of fertilizers and crop yield. So, Drip Fertigation not only ensures proper utilization of irrigation water, but also is an effective way to improve the yield quality of crops
